Ann, Are you still on the mainland? I thought you would have been off the radar by now - I was going to start slating you off -but it appears you are still posting on here! Anyway, that’s good - because if you have any problems up there e.g. If you get marooned, lost, shipwrecked anything like that, then let us know, we are here to help. I am setting up an elite squad - our own version of International Rescue who will come to your aid. It consists of four of our top field operatives - .Ken, Doug, Paula and Sharon. Ken was selected for his nautical experience, Doug for his naughty experiences, Paula and Sharon for their speed , endurance, ability to survive on small rations and to give the rest of us a break I would have volunteered myself but I’m not sure what the beer is like up there, so I will stay here and make myself useful negotiating any potential Book deals, TV or Film rights etc. I hope you will feel re assured now, knowing that you have such expert caring and professional back up to call on. Don’t forget to bring us a stick of rock back
Paul

I would have volunteered myself but I’m not sure what the beer is like up there, Only just spotted this one ... how nice of you to be so concerned for me. However, if I had needed rescuing you would have kicked yourself for not being part of the squad - Unst has its very own brewery. And very tasty beer it is too - I brought a few cases of it home with me. It also has a chocolate factory. Add to that the proximity to Muckle Flugga and it's my idea of a paradisiacal island. Muckle Flugga was wonderful, even better than I'd expected as it had a whale swimming round it. I did a walk up Saxa Vord as well where I risked (according to the signs) snow, ice, being arrested under the official secrets act, and finally radiation. Being an intrepid, PeakTrekker experienced walker, I ignored all the signs and apart from a bit of a strange glow and some severe memory loss (hence losing the car park at the weekend) I survived unscathed. See you soon (if I don't get lost) PS does getting lost even before the start of a walk put me at the top of the league table of PT getting losters?

Hi Ann, Well now I know the beer is Ok, I will be part of the squad for next time. I will take personal command. You say you brought some beer home? Look, don't be worried, don't panic. Its just that - Agents of unknown countries have been known to spike the drinks while still in the bottle to avoid suspicion and with the added risks of radiation, pollution from the ash cloud.etc. I think that beer should be tested. Bring it with you on the next walk and I will get it checked out by an expert. Anyway welcome back my little peaky trekky explorer - you have done well in the cause of beer seeking and exploration. I shall recommend you for an award... the Peat Bog most promising beer hunter challenge trophy! Doug , Brian and me attempted to win this on the Elton Beer Festival weekend but I concede you are the most deserving recipient. Just don't forget to bring it on the next walk as its needed as proof of your achievement. Glad you survived.

Hi everyone, I know there are walks planned in August, which I would like to go on. I have decided I can manage the l leisurely walks which for me will be very challenging, nevertheless I would love to go on them, if my friend Anne can pick me up! I promise not to be late! Love, Ann x
