Traveling a bit further for most of us, this walk starts in the village of Combs at the Beehive SK23 9UT.
We climb the hill to the iron age fort of Castle Naze from where we have views as far as the hills of North Wales. We then circumnavigate the plateau back to Castle Naze taking in views in all directions. If is is sunny you will be able to see your shadow in the valley below.
One ascent up and one descent down but with an interesting little dip in the middle. About 8 miles. The land owner forbids dogs on Combs Moss.

Info for toilets for those are coming on this Sunday's walk. There are public toilets in Chapel-en-le Frith about 5 minutes before you get to Coombs. Make sure your sat nav takes you through Chapel off the A6 onto B5470, keep on this road all the way through Chapel, after a while you will pass Morrisons bear left at mini roundabout keep going until you pass Nat West Bank on your right and the Royal Oak Pub on your left, the toilets are just after the bank at the Memorial. Carry on after toilets out of Chapel and the turn off for Coombs is on your left, it is signposted. There may be toilets in Morrisons? I don't know as I don't shop there as it's a bit far for me to go :-) Ofcourse there will toilets at the pub afterwards as well as liquid refreshments
