When I received sufficient replies in order to book a room at Malham I found that all the rooms are booked now. We could still stop there in the dormitories which would be £12/night for members and £15 for non members.
Alternatively we could stop somewhere else. The only place in the region was Earby near Skipton which still has 2 rooms with 6 beds available. This is on the edge of the dales park not in it but it is close to the copper dragon brewery for those with a taste for real ale. The cost of a 6 bed room is £85 per night with £3 off for every one who is a member. There are dormitory beds available here for for £18/night £15/night for members.
Anyway I need a decision quickly as to what to do. Can all those interested in going please contact me ASAP so I can book either the Malham or Earby hostel.

I have googled Earby B&B's and found only one in the village called the GRANGE FELL, it says it's walker friendly and close to the centre of the village, if anyone wishing to come on our Whit weekend and not wishing to stay in the YHA then the contact details are, Telephone: 01282 844991. email: info@grangefell.com www. grangefell.com There are no prices on the web site so you will have to contact them to find out. Also on the Saturday the 25th I am thinking of calling at the Copper Dragon brewery at Skipton for a tour of the brewery, the only tour on Saturday's start at 12 noon and takes about 1 hour, it's £10 per person which includes a free pint at the end of the tour, you have to pre book so if anyone is interested please let me know so I can book it.

Possible Itinary
Arrive on Saturday. Those going to Brewery Visit will meet at Copper Dragon Brewery in Skipton 11.30.
Those not going meet at Red Lion Hotel Earby at 16.00.
Check in at YHA at 17.00
We will most likely make a visit to the Red Lion again later in the evening.
Sunday Meet at New Inn Clapham LA2 8HH at 11.00 Walk via Gaping Ghyll to Ingleborough Hill. You can if you so wish be lowered 400ft in a basket down Gaping Ghyll.
Monday Meet at Malham Lister Arms for the classic malham walk which includes Janets Foss waterfall, Goredale Scar and the famous vertical path, Malham Tarn, Malham moor and Malham cove where you can watch the falcons skim past you.
Any alternative suggestions will be considered.

Just a bit of advice for anyone want to go down Gaping Ghyll Its best to be there early ie around 10am on wards because it gets very busy. It could take 3-4 hours if you dont. There wearther can change quickly and there isnt much shelter. Ive been down 3 times now its a fab experience I'd recommend. Have a look at Bradford Potholing club for images. :-)
