As the wet weather continues this is another low level walk. We can move into the hills later in the year. This walks starts at the Hatfeild Arms (that is spelt correctly) in the historic village of Laughton en le Morthen, We take in the village of Firbeck and then the ruins of Roche abbey which was once the seat of power and wealth in Sth Yorkshire. The walking is easy but as we found out last weekend walking on flat fields in the mud is tiring.
Start Hatfeild Arms Laughton en le Morthen S25 1YF 10 for 10.30 About 7 miles. Possible pub stop at the Black Lion Firbeck. Easy walking.
